Need advice about calling someone..?

so theres this guy that i have a big crush on. he lives like an hour away. hes also a couple years older than me. ive known him for awhile. we talk occasionally. um without going into alot of detail, he called me sunday. we played phone tag and i never got to talk with him until yesterday when he IM'd me. he im'd me asking why i was online and shoudlnt i be in school. we briefly talked about how i didnt go in and such. he has off of school this week and he said how he was having a party last night and i guess wanted to see if i could go but i coudlnt since i had school today. my question is this. i want to call him tonight and i want to maybe ask him if he wants to hang out with me sometime this weekend. but see im just afraid of calling him cause im paranoid that hes gonna be busy when i call and wont pick up. or ill bother him. or something. so should i call him tonight? or shoudl i wait? i feel so stupid for being so afraid to call people. oh and also, if i call what shoudl i say.Need advice about calling someone..?
If you know him for a while, he wont think its werid at all. Sometimes the best thing to do is the answering machine cuz then you know for sure if he wants to hang out. If you talk occasionally he wont be think'n your bother'n him.Need advice about calling someone..?
It depends on your approach. It sounds like he likes you enough to call and invite you to go out. As a guy, it's better to know that you're responding in some way by calling back. Even if he's not around, a message is better than not calling at all.
