i am only 14 but i think i have a good idea on what i want to do with my life
plz tell me what you thinkNeed good advice about my future!!(navy)?
thats good you have a goal to attend the naval ancademy but you have to compete for the spot to attend but keep at it and i have to agree with shibby the military isnt the best place to be if you like being around your family. being in the millitary you must learn and accept the word sacrifice because thats mainly what its all about for instance i joined the army a month before hurricane katrina came and destroyed my home and scattered my family all over the US i did not see them until 8months after and only been home about six times since i been in the army now im in afganistan for over a year so take that to heart you will be on your own alot in a military career.Need good advice about my future!!(navy)?
Hi, I'm currently in NJROTC which is Naval Junior Recruit Officers Training Corps but plan to join the army it gives you a higher rank when you join sorta like Naval academy. I know of people who where of top of there class and in perfect physcical condition who where denied for no reason at all but its a hard school to get into so don't worry about where you live and all that just study hard and work out and just maybe you'll get accepted. Good luck
KNOW it is spelled KNOW..learn NOW to use proper spelling, Grammar and communciation skills. otherwise you are NOT going to make it at the USNA or in the military in general. the Navy does NOT use L33t or Txt speak or any other stupid internet shortcuts.
sheesh.
and if you cannot bear to grow up and move away for college howinhell do you think you are going to manage to get through Deployments to combat zones?! or being stationed in Itlay or Japan even FURTHER from Vegas.
you have a lot of maturing to do before you are even remotely in a position to decide whether or not you want to seek an appointment to the Academy.
I think you have plenty of time to make up your mind before you start fretting over leaving everybody in Vegas behind. Four years is a long time. You will change. The Navy will change. Don't put all your eggs in that basket yet. For now, just focus on getting good grades so that you can land one of those coveted spots in the Naval Academy, if that ends up being what you want to do later on.
well... in the military u will not be with ur familly... to be in the military u dont only have to sometimes risk ur life but also must be prepared to leave all of your family and friends seeing them for only around 30 days a year it doesent end when u get out of school. after u are trained u go and do ur job that u have in the navy... this will most likely be on the east coast
If I was you i would try out the navy reserves. It would give you an idea what you will be doing and give you a chance to see if you will like the navy before enlisting for four years.
