Advice about my IUD(Mirena)?

I just had a baby three months ago an dI had an IUD(Mirena) put in. I've had it for about 2 and a half months now. I've been gaining weight and now I can barely button my jeans. I was reading about it and it says it's not suppose to make you gain weight. It also said not for women with a condition that changes the shape of your uterus. I have a bi-corinate uterus. Does that include me? Shouldn't my doctor have told me that. Im gonna take a pregnancy test in the morning but I was just looking for answers sooner. Anyone ever got pregnant while using Mirena?Advice about my IUD(Mirena)?
I got pregnant on the depo shot, but never on the IUD. I really wonder why your doctor would put it in right after you had a baby. I would go talk to your doctor right away and good luck on the test. No one agrees on how they work, but one of the doctors told me it makes it's own plug around the string and IUD so sperm can not go through it. Who really knows. Good luck. I wish I could help you more.Advice about my IUD(Mirena)?
I have not used Mirena but I do know several women who have. None of them got pregnant, but they all reported very different and very random physical effects happening to them while it was in. Stomach pains, bloating, weight gain, oily skin, food cravings, muscle cramps, joint pain...All of these symptoms stopped when they had their doctor remove the Mirena IUD.

Strange, huh?

I'm not sure I answered your question, but I thought you might find the situation interesting as I did.
LOTS AND LOTS of people have gotten pregnant with iud's not to mension the other major problems they can cause. Just search yahoo answers to see for yourself. My advice to you is to have that thing taken out and choose another form of birth control! and yes if what you have is one of those conditions he definitely should have told you!!
I do know people who have gotten pregnant with an IUD (I don't know if it was Mirena or not) but they can move out of place and if they do, they don't do their job anymore. (I don't think it's really common though)
I was told by my GYN it shouldn't make u gain either...if u are having side effects not spoken of, u need to contact your doctor. There is always a very slim chance u can get pregnant from any type of birth control.
