Need advice about braces?!?!?! i'm in a dilemma?!?!?!?

well, i had my second visit to the orthodontic today and from my last x-rays they found that i had an extra tooth embedded in my bottom gum. they said i would need surgery to get rid of the extra tooth in which they lift the gum and pull it out. now he gave me two options to choose from:

option 1:

if i am to get braces i have to get the extra tooth removed and 4 teeth pulled out. after this i will get fixed wire braces for about two years.

option 2:

not to get braces at all and leave the extra tooth and no teeth pulled out apart from the extra one. and to keep an eye on the extra tooth to make sure it does not grow above my gum.

he sent me away to decide what i want to do but i don't know which i should choose. could you please help and suggest what would be best?

p.s, the surgery in which i have to get the extra tooth removed may cause damage to a nerve nearby which may cause a pins and needles senation in my lip and cause it to feel a bit numb or weird.

so what do you think i should do? i need advice please. what would you do? many thanks, luv y'all xxNeed advice about braces?!?!?! i'm in a dilemma?!?!?!?
just get braces i had 4 teeth pulled out and one pulled out on top from the doctors .. my mouth hurt for a couple of days just keep taking pain killers and you will be fine watch what you eat once you had it becuse you dont want to hurt it even more.

I had no numing of the lip nothing all my teeth are fine and now i have a lovely smile and trust me it worth it ! :D

good luck .. xNeed advice about braces?!?!?! i'm in a dilemma?!?!?!?
i had to get five teeth pulled for my braces, two and a half years of train tracks and another year of retainers and now everyone compliments me on my smile. i have to say it was def worth it.

But what you do is up to you i'm afraid.
would your lips always feel numb and weird and tingly? I think I would get the extra tooth taken out plus the four others and then get the braces. But that's me.
Don't have 4 healthy teeth removed ';Just in case';, you may be grateful for them later in life!

Unless this extra tooth is putting your other teeth in serious peril, If I were you I'd leave it alone for now.

I'm not a great believer in dentistry for vanity's sake, unless the teeth are severely discoloured or crooked.

Unless this rouge tooth is in danger of giving you a disfigured (as opposed to cute and unusual) smile...then leave it alone.

Most imprtantly, would it push your other teeth out of alignement so badly it would affect your chewing?
umm, if you're teeth are crooked already then you might as well get braces, not only will that sort out the problem with your tooth, but they'll also straighten your teeth. Plus for option 2, if the tooth does grow above your gum, your gonna have to have it taken out some time or another so it could be better to have it done now, if your teeth are straight then 2 years of braces might just be a waste, so it'd be easier to have that one tooth removed . I was scared about having 4 of my teeth removed for braces but it ended up not being as bad as i thought it would.

hope i helped n **** luck!
